Located in a quiet street on a block with three self-standing units, these spacious 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom homes have a modern open plan kitchen/living/dining area overlooking a well-maintained backyard, with an undercover entertainment area and a vegetable garden.

This property offers shared independent living with 24/7 support, and is situated close to town for easy access to shops, medical facilities and community support.

We are seeking three individuals for the vacancies in these units, who enjoy living independently with support on hand.

Room information

Two vacant bedrooms with built-in wardrobes, air-conditioning and heating.

House information

Three spacious, purpose-built and fully accessible 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom units. The bedrooms are all well-sized with a window overlooking the garden. The main area in the unit is a welcoming, open plan design that contains a self-contained kitchen, living area and lounge room. The dining area looks out to the private backyard.

Each unit has its own backyard, as well as a communal backyard with an entertainment area. There is also a joint common room for all the residents to spend time together, if they wish. The communal backyard has a vegetable garden and fruit trees.

Parking available, with undercover access from parking to property.

Housemates

Villa 1 is currently vacant and ready for two new residents to add their own personal touches.

Location information

Central location, just a 5 minute drive to local Stockland Shopping Centre, the beach and lakes. Situated in a pleasant, quiet street close to the lake and peaceful open areas. Nearby facilities include parks, shopping centres, medical facilities, cafes and restaurants.

Accessibility

Front and rear doors have ramps for wheelchair access. Bathroom facilities are wheelchair accessible.

Current support model

Rostered 24/7 care. There is currently 2:5 staffing available.

All staff have current First Aid, medication training, and manual handling. Regular safety checks are conducted in the house and on vehicles.

We have an emphasis on a healthy lifestyle, with a focus on fresh, unprocessed foods. The staff enjoy preparing and cooking delicious meals with the help of the housemates.

Factors to consider when applying

Life Without Barriers will conduct a screening and suitability assessment to ensure housemates are compatible. 

• You are aged 18 years or over. 

• You are eligible for, and able to secure, an appropriate level of Supported Independent Living and Specialist Disability Accommodation NDIS funding. 

• You have the financial means to pay rent and utilities and are prepared to sign (or for a representative to sign) an accommodation agreement.
