This single storey five-bedroom and three-bathroom home is situated on five acres of land and is in a semi-rural location. There are two large separate living areas to relax and watch the TV.

The house also features a delightful outdoor entertainment area overlooking the secure backyard and pool. Residents enjoy watching the sheep wandering the grounds freely, eating the grass and providing the resident with company.

The home is located 10 minutes from the heart of Penrith, with great amenities and programs close by.

This property offers shared independent living with 24/7 support.

We are currently seeking one new tenant to join four male residents aged in their 30s to 40s.

Although the residents are nonverbal, it isn’t by any means a quiet house. There is always plenty of laughter and bustling around.

All residents require assistance with their daily living and are fully mobile.

The residents enjoy gardening, arts and crafts, helping with the shearing of the sheep, BBQs, listening to music and being outside in the backyard.

On a balmy day, our residents love to have a swim in the pool and enjoy the outdoor entertainment area.

Location information

The home is located 10 minutes from the heart of Penrith. The local doctor is 15 minutes away, and the chemist attends the home each fortnight to drop off scripts and other items.

There is a local shopping centre 5 minutes away, and Westfield is located in Penrith. The resident’s day programs and other services are only 10 minutes drive away.

The residents enjoy visits to the Nepean Lookout, Richmond Airbase, Yarramundi picnic area, the National Park and relaxing by the Nepean/Hawkesbury River.

Factors to consider when applying

Life Without Barriers will conduct a screening and suitability assessment to ensure housemates are compatible.

  • You are aged 18 years or over.

  • You are eligible for, and able to secure, an appropriate level of NDIS Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) funding.

  • You have the financial means to pay rent and utilities and are prepared to sign (or for a representative to sign) a service and accommodation agreement.
