We are currently seeking one female housemate who shares the same active and social lifestyle enjoyed by our existing residents.
Room information
One vacant bright, and cozy bedroom with neutral tones, built-in wardrobes, heating and cooling, and a large window overlooking a garden.
House information
This spacious home features:
• 3 bedrooms inclusive of built-in wardrobes.
• A spacious, well equipped kitchen with plenty of bench space and storage.
• Thoughtful design with an internal ramp ensuring accessibility.
• Two bathrooms fitted with grab rails and stepless shower.
• Internal laundry with washer and dryer.
• Ramp access for ease of entering and exiting the home.
• An inviting outdoor relaxation and entertainment area.
Housemates
Two (2) housemates, a mix of males and females aged between 35 and 40, who share interests in arts, crafts, community events like op shopping, bingo, ten pin bowling, and woodworking.
Location information
Carey Bay offers a peaceful retreat while being conveniently close to transport links just a short distance away in Toronto (only 5 km). Toronto boasts access to buses, trains, medical facilities, as well as a variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants. Additionally, the breath-taking Lake Macquarie presents numerous opportunities for water-based activities.
Accessibility
Designed for comfort and inclusivity, this property is mostly wheelchair accessible, featuring external and internal ramps for easy movement and enjoyment of all areas of the home.
Current support model
Rostered 24/7 care.
All staff have current First Aid and medication training.
Regular household safety checks are conducted.
Factors to consider when applying
Life Without Barriers will conduct a screening and suitability assessment to ensure housemates are compatible.
You are aged 18 years or over.
You are eligible for, and able to secure, an appropriate level of NDIS Supported Independent Living (SIL) funding.
You have the financial means to pay rent and utilities and are prepared to sign (or for a representative to sign) a service and accommodation agreement.
