We have openings in two purpose-built homes, nestled side by side on an expansive residential block. Currently, we're on the lookout for two housemates, regardless of gender, who share the vibrant and social lifestyle cherished by our current residents.

There are two bedrooms available, one in each home. Both rooms have built-in robes, air conditioning/heating and ceiling hoists.
House information
Each of these two, purpose built homes feature:
• 5 bedrooms inclusive of built-in wardrobes.
• Fully-equipped kitchens with plenty of bench space.
• Multiple bathrooms with stepless showers, grab rails and ceiling hoists.
• Multiple living areas and sensory rooms.
• Internal laundry with washer and dryer.
• Shared lovely, well-maintained garden with undercover entertainment area with BBQ and inground trampoline.
• Ramp access for ease of entering and exiting the home.
Housemates
Our current mix of male and female residents, aged in their 30s to 40s, are a socially active bunch. They love engaging in group activities, from enjoying music to participating in recreational events in the community, including sporting events. They also have a day program during the week and often enjoy group activities on weekends. Interests range from sports and music to shopping, spending time with friends and family, and attending concerts and musicals.

Argenton, NSW is a suburb situated in the Hunter Region of New South Wales. It's close to public transport options, with bus services connecting the area to nearby towns and cities. Argenton offers easy access to supermarkets, medical facilities, and local shops, ensuring residents have their basic needs met conveniently.
Accessibility
Fully accessible home with wide door frames throughout and wide external pathways and access ramps for easy entry and exit.
Current support model
The house is staffed seven days a week with an Active Night overnight support.
All staff have current First Aid and medication training.
Regular household safety checks are conducted.
Factors to consider when applying
Life Without Barriers will conduct a screening and suitability assessment to ensure housemates are compatible.
You are aged 18 years or over.
You are eligible for, and able to secure, an appropriate level of NDIS Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) funding.
You have the financial means to pay rent and utilities and are prepared to sign (or for a representative to sign) a service and accommodation agreement.
