Indigenous Literacy Day and Hook into Books Virtual Yarning Circle
To celebrate both the Hook into Books Campaign and Indigenous Literacy Day, we invite you to a virtual Yarning Circle to celebrate stories, cultures and language in our community.
The event includes a showcase of the National Digital Event with The Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) and ILF Ambassadors Jessica Mauboy and Gregg Dreise, which shares a magical story about children in remote Milikapiti and Jilkminggan in the Northern Territory.
Following the National Digital Event, we will return to our Virtual Yarning Circle and yarn with Education Consultant Clea North. Clea, who is a descendant of the Gunggari and Mithaka nations of South West Queensland, will generously share some of her own story, her culture and her language with attendees.

STEPtember is a month-long fundraiser that encourages us to approach our health and wellbeing with a bit more focus. It means creating little (or big) teams and encouraging each other to commit to healthy activities. Activities can include everything from increasing your steps each day to swimming, yoga, running, cycling or other activities like meditation or reading.
