Join Life Without Barriers at a range of events happening across Australia during July.

This July, Life Without Barriers is hosting and supporting a number of in-person and online events. You can connect with our teams and learn more about our services at the events below.

This month we will also be acknowledging NAIDOC Week and getting involved in events across the country. You can find the events Life Without Barriers is hosting or holding stalls at here!

Australia Wide

Multicultural Resources and Online Voice Town Hall

In partnership with a range of organisations, Life Without Barriers and Polaron Language Services have launched more than 45 multilingual translations with information about the referendum and the Voice to Parliament. You are invited to an online community discussion session to learn more about the upcoming Referendum and learn about the resources you can use.

Australian Capital Territory

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) at the Enliven Housing Open Day

Located in Canberra, these apartments are generous in size, feature high-quality NDIS inclusions, and are ready for Assistive Technology. All of the apartments are also pet-friendly! 

Make sure you book an appointment to attend one of the open days and view these spacious two-bedroom apartments. Life Without Barriers will be onsite alongside Enliven Housing on the day to answer any questions you have about the accommodation.

Queensland

Redcliffe Show

The Redcliffe Show is a great event for the whole family with carnival rides, competitions, activities for the kids, entertainment and a range of food stalls. There is something for everyone!

Life Without Barriers staff and foster care ambassadors will have a stall at the event, ready to answer any questions you have about foster care.

South Australia

Foster Care Information Webinar

Learn everything you need to know about foster care at our free online information session.

During the session, we will cover the different types of care, the application and assessment process, the roles and responsibilities of being a foster carer and the support you will receive from Life Without Barriers. There will also be an opportunity to participate in a live Q&A session.

Tasmania

Parkrun

Parkrun is a free, community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer, or spectate. Parkrun is positive, welcoming, and inclusive, there is no time limit, and no one finishes last. Everyone is welcome to come along.

Life Without Barriers staff and foster care ambassadors will have a stall at the South, North and Northwest events, cheering on the runners and answering any questions you have about foster care.
