This May, Life Without Barriers is hosting and supporting a number of in-person and online events. You can connect with our teams and learn more about our services at the events below.

New South Wales
Foster Care Information Webinar
Learn everything you need to know about foster care at our free online information session.
During the session, we will cover the different types of care, the application and assessment process, the roles and responsibilities of being a foster carer and the support you will receive from Life Without Barriers. There will also be an opportunity to participate in a live Q&A session.

FISH Fundraising High Tea
Join us on Awabakal Land for a High Tea to raise funds for Family Inclusion in the Hunter.
This event will leave you feeling inspired as your host, Annette Michaux, alongside keynote speaker Natalie Lewis, and the FISH Parent and Family Peer Support and Advocacy Team share stories of resilience and examples of leadership that are disrupting and challenging child protection policy and practice throughout Australia and around the world.

The Channon Mother’s Day Markets
The Channon Craft Markets are a fantastic destination for a day out and a great way to celebrate Mother’s Day. Bring Mum for breakfast or lunch and soak up the riches of the Northern Rivers Hinterlands and beyond.
The market is a fun day out for all, with pony rides, a jumping castle, candle making, and over 200 stallholders showcasing amazing wares.
Come along and say hi to our friendly staff. We will have a stall at the market, and our team will be available to chat about all things foster care and answer any questions you have.

The Ipswich Show
Celebrating 150 years, this year's Ipswich Show will be the biggest ever, with a massive program of events and activities across the Ipswich Showgrounds over three fantastic days.
A great event for the whole family with carnival rides, competitions, activities for the kids, entertainment and a range of food stalls. There is something for everyone!
Life Without Barriers staff and foster care ambassadors will have a stall at the event, ready to answer any questions you have about foster care.

Tasmania
Agfest
Come down and chat with Life Without Barriers at Agfest!
Agfest is a multi-award-winning agricultural event organised by Rural Youth Tasmania volunteer members, celebrating the best in Tasmanian farming.
You can find us at site no. 812 to learn about our Disability, Mental Health and Foster Care services, with current foster carers and specialist staff available to answer your questions. Our stall is one you won’t want to miss, with fun activities for the kids and handmade art creations from our Disability Art Program available for purchase!
We’ve also teamed up with Ashgrove Cheese again this year to raise awareness in the community that ‘Tassie Kids Need Foster Carers’. Stop by our tent or the Ashgrove Van (site M23) to find out more!

Geelong Waterfront Makers and Growers Market
Geelong Waterfront Makers and Growers Market offers local produce, tasty gourmet treats, beautiful art and handmade crafts from regional makers and growers. It’s a great day out with live music from local artists and delicious hot food on offer.
We will have a stall at the market, and our friendly staff will be available to chat about all things foster care and answer any questions you have.

2023 Mental Health in Schools Conference
The Mental Health in Schools Conference is designed for teachers and school leaders, providing current mental health challenges for young people, findings from the latest research, and practical, preventative, and early intervention measures.
Life Without Barriers will have an exhibitor stall at the conference. Our staff will be available to share information and answer your questions about foster care and Life Without Barriers' approach to trauma-informed care.
