Life Without Barriers recently hosted the ‘For Purpose Human Resources and Learning & Development Forum’ at the LinkedIn offices in Sydney.
Our People Safety and Culture Team organised the day-long event that focused on sharing knowledge and experiences covering a variety of interrelated topics.
Around sixty Human Resources and Learning & Development professionals from a number of For Purpose organisations attended the event, and enjoyed the opportunity to learn from and network with their counterparts from across the sector.
Attendees seized the opportunity to discuss common problems and possible solutions with engaging and recruiting staff in the For Purpose sector. Among the topics covered in the forum was diversity and inclusion in the workplace, which included a presentation on Life Without Barriers’ journey through its reconciliation and disability experiences. The Forum also featured a session on the issue of institutional child sexual abuse, which featured a case study on ‘We Put Children First’ – Life Without Barriers’ approach to child safety.
