New mental health services meets young peoples needs
#synergy is a unique program run by our mental health team in Southern Tasmania.
The team of clinicians work with young people in the community, usually for 6-12 months and their client group is focused on young people who live in rural and remote areas. What’s particularly unique about this program is that it brings the services and the clinicians to the young person, in their home. Without this service this cohort of people would otherwise not have access to mental health care either due to isolation and lack or transport or caring responsibilities.
As we know early intervention is the best course of treatment for mental health issues, the team are meeting a need and seeing great results as they explain in the video.
