Life Without Barriers is always keen to participate in National Mental Health Week. This year we took part in and organised a number Mental Health Week events taking place across Australia throughout the month of October.

Our staff took part in raising awareness across a number of cities from Launceston (TAS) to Perth (WA), and up in the Northern Territory where our Darwin Office staff participated in the “Talk Support and Recover Day in the Park” to launch Mental Health Week 2016. Meanwhile, in Bendigo (VIC), LWB treated the public to unique art pieces in the form of the creations of the Woman’s group and the Mad skills deconstruction art group.

The aim of Mental Health Week is to promote social and emotional wellbeing to the community, encouraging people to maximise their health potential, enhancing the coping capacity of communities, families, individuals and increasing mental health recovery.
