Life Without Barriers new Tasmanian Foster Care Ambassador is keen to chat with you during Foster Care Week.

During Foster Care Week Life Without Barriers is holding information sessions and stalls in Tasmania, through to 19 September, to spread the word about the many great benefits of foster caring.

Come down and meet the Life Without Barriers team. We are also excited to announce our first Foster Care Ambassador, Katie Wells, who is an experienced foster carer, will be joining us and is looking forward to meeting you all.

Katie says she is “looking forward to engaging in the local community by sharing my story, participating in activities like information sessions and meeting with foster care applicants”. Katie and her husband Greg have been foster carers for over 15 years. With five biological children, they have welcomed many foster care children to be part of their family over the years, and Katie has a lot of insider knowledge to share.

You can expect the unexpected.

"Through resilience, compassion and empathy you can plant seeds where children can learn the process of bonding and attachment.”

Life Without Barriers has numerous stalls (COVID-19 precautions are in place for all stalls) and information sessions on foster care throughout the week and you can register your interest below.
