Last night Life Without Barriers held our annual Employee Recognition Awards in Melbourne. The awards ceremony provides a fantastic opportunity for people across all levels of our organisation to come together and celebrate staff who consistently go above and beyond to partner with people to change lives for the better.

Staff are encouraged to nominate their colleagues or any Life Without Barriers staff members who represents our values of courage, respect, responsiveness, imagination and building relationships in their day-to-day work. This year we received over 600 nominations and the stories shared throughout these nominations and the awards were truly inspirational.

Our winners were recognised across a number of areas important to the work we do at Life Without Barriers. There were so many inspirational stories of courage and imagination shared throughout the night, including an equine and art therapy program for our specialist foster carers, staff who went above and beyond to support our clients to return to Country, teams who are thinking outside the box to ensure clients first, safety always and staff whose empathy for, and commitment to, clients in some of the toughest circumstances is just remarkable. The winners and finalists are truly deserving of the recognition they received.
