Join Life Without Barriers at a range of events happening across Australia in July.

During July, Life Without Barriers is hosting and supporting in-person and online events. You can connect with our teams and learn more about our services at the events below.

We will also be acknowledging NAIDOC Week and getting involved in events across the country.

Australia-wide

Education Webinar: The Next Generation - Strength, Vision and Legacy

This NAIDOC Week, join the Learning Without Barriers team for a very special celebration of the Next Generation.

This year marks 50 years of NAIDOC Week celebrations, and the theme, 'The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy', celebrates not only the achievements of the past but looks to the bright future ahead, empowered by the strength of young leaders, the vision of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and the legacy of their ancestors.

This event will be a chance to reflect, celebrate, and look ahead to a future shaped by the next generation.

Moreton Bay NAIDOC Family Fun Day

Celebrate NAIDOC Week alongside the Life Without Barriers team and attend the Moreton Bay NAIDOC Family Fun Day. Immerse yourself in culture, have some fun, and yarns at the Moreton Bay NAIDOC Family Fun Day.

This event will include a performance from local rap artist 'Say True God', free activities, food trucks and an Elders tent.

Foster care drop in and chat, Mount Gambier

Have you ever thought about becoming a carer but don't know where to start? Across the Mount Gambier and Limestone Coast regions, we're looking for compassionate people to become foster and kinship carers.

Drop in, enjoy a cup of coffee on Life Without Barriers, and have a chat with one of our staff to find out further information and discover the fulfilling journey of providing love and support to children in need.

Our team can walk you through the different types of foster care, the support you will receive, the positive impact you can have on a child's life and answer any questions you may have.

NAIDOC March and Family Fun Day in the South

Celebrate NAIDOC Week alongside the Life Without Barriers team and attend the NAIDOC March and Family Fun Day in the South. The march starts at 10am at 121 Beach Road, followed by the family fun day at Rotary Park, starting at 10:30am.

There will be fun activities and entertainment for the whole family, with a focus on dance, music, arts and crafts, cultural activities, First Nations businesses, free food, and more!

NAIDOC Murray Bridge – Bridge Walk

NAIDOC Week celebrations in Murray Bridge will kick off with the Bridge Walk, Flag raising and an awards ceremony. The Bridge Walk will commence on the east side of the Murray Bridge at 9.30am, flowing through the town towards the Local Government Centre for the NAIDOC Awards Ceremony from 10am.

NAIDOC in the Mall

Celebrate NAIDOC at Rundle Mall with an official Kaurna Welcome to Country Ceremony and unveiling of the 2025 artwork. Following this, enjoy a free exciting and immersive schedule of live entertainment and activities for the whole family. Don't forget to say hello to our Living Arts team, who will have a stall at this event!

NAIDOC Murray Bridge Family Fun Day

Join us at the Murray Bridge NAIDOC Family Fun Day for a day filled with fun, food and family friendly activities.

With a free BBQ lunch, 3 on 3 basketball, live entertainment and activities for the kids, there will be something for everyone at this event.

our very own Visit the Life Without Barriers stall to say hi to our Living Arts team and learn Ngarrindjeri phrases and animal names with their interactive Language Listening Post and Paper Puppet activities. You can also add your message to our NAIDOC Week Community Canvas inspired by the 2025 theme 'The Next Generation, Strength, Vision & Legacy.'

NAIDOC in the North

NAIDOC in the North is about connecting and celebrating culture, sharing, education, and providing opportunities to our community in one accessible and safe place. This event is a place to form genuine partnerships and cross-cultural connections with community and Aboriginal-led organisations, share local talent, and amplify local Aboriginal voices, people, and stories.

The event will include a free BBQ, performances, activities, information stalls, music, fire pit, Elders area, fun for kids and a chill out zone.

NAIDOC SA March and Family Festival

Come along to the NAIDOC SA March and Family Festival!

To join the NAIDOC March, gather at Tarndanyangga at 10.30am for an 11.00am start and march down King William Street to Parliament House. Following the march, the NAIDOC Family Festival will be held at Tarndanyangga.

This Festival will have something for everyone from the organisation stalls, live entertainment and music, activities for the kids, amusement rides, food trucks, and a BBQ.

  • Time: March at 11am – 12:30pm and join the Family Festival 12pm – 4pm

If you live in South Australia and are interested in sharing your home, heart and time with a child or young person in need, please join our free information session to learn what's involved in becoming a foster or kinship carer and whether it's the right fit for you.

During the session, we will cover the different types of care, the application and assessment process, the roles and responsibilities of being a carer and the support you will receive from Life Without Barriers. There will also be an opportunity to participate in a live Q&A session.

Social Football with Dynamo Melbourne Football Club

Life Without Barriers has partnered with Dynamo Melbourne Football Club to run Social Football Sessions!

These sessions aim to provide people from diverse backgrounds, including refugees and migrants a chance to play, connect, and feel at home in Melbourne, with a focus on building skills, confidence, and connections.

By working together, we aim to strengthen bonds within our local community and create spaces where everyone feels welcome and supported.
