Education Webinar: The Right to Read (Hook into Books)
Join this free webinar to learn more about Hook into Books™ and explore evidence-based strategies that support children to have reading success.
In 2012, the Supreme Court of Canada released a unanimous decision recognising that learning to read is not a privilege but a basic and essential human right and that children with learning difficulties had a right to receive the intensive supports and interventions they need to learn to read.
This webinar turns these findings to Australia and discusses 'the science of reading', providing insight into why all children, particularly those with learning challenges, must be supported in an evidence-based way to have reading success.

Unmuted: Amplifying Youth Voices - South Australian Living Artists Exhibition
Unmuted: Amplifying Youth Voices is more than an exhibition, it's a powerful invitation to listen, feel, and truly see the world through the eyes of young people with lived experience in out of home care. Through a vibrant mix of visual art, photography, music, animation, ceramics, and more, these young artists share their stories, hopes, fears, and dreams—unfiltered and unapologetically real. Each piece is a testament to their creativity, courage, and the importance of being heard. This exhibition also features collaborative works created alongside caregivers, offering a rare and moving glimpse into the relationships and support networks that shape these young people's lives. We invite you to engage with these artworks not just as a viewer, but as a witness. Come with curiosity. Leave with understanding. Let their voices move you and help to amplify them beyond the gallery walls.
