Life Without Barriers was awarded Top Performer in the Premises category of the Access and Inclusion Index. We are proud of having maintained our position as a leader in accessibility and inclusion for people with disability.
Life Without Barriers joined the Australian Network on Disability (AND) as a Gold Member in 2012 and has completed the Access and Inclusion Index on four occasions. The Access and Inclusion Index is a benchmarking tool enabling Australian organisations to assess and improve access and inclusion for people with disability.
Of all the organisations that submitted to the Index in 2021, Life Without Barriers placed 4th, behind Westpac, Australian Taxation Office, and Coles. This compares with 7th in 2016, 7th in 2017, and 4th in 2019. Scoring 66/100, Life Without Barriers remain well above this year’s average organisation score of 36/100 and have maintained our position as a leader in accessibility and inclusion for people with disability.

Life Without Barriers employees attended the Disability Confidence Awards on 8 June in Melbourne to celebrate our achievement. Board Director, Graeme Innes AM, joined us. These Awards highlight the organisations and individuals who have shown commitment to disability confidence.
Index results have informed the design of our Access Inclusion and Employment Plan (AIEP) 2022-2025, which is currently under development.
