Len's ideal housemate is someone who is happy to share a peaceful home and doesn’t mind the occasional visit from friendly dogs.

Meet Len, a 70-year-old man enjoying retirement while living independently with support from Life Without Barriers. For the past 28 years, his charming older-style home has been his pride and joy. He shares this space with his housemate Katrina, and together they keep it tidy and well-organised.

Len enjoys relaxing in his favourite chair, watching TV, or listening to smooth music. He loves spending time in his backyard during summer and hosting BBQs. Although Len loves good food, he prefers not to cook, so he’s grateful when meals are prepared for him.

While he values his space, Len likes being included in what’s going on in the home and enjoys being a part of daily planning with his support staff.

When he’s out and about, Len loves visiting the airport to watch planes take off and land, going for scenic drives, or taking short walks around the neighbourhood to see what’s new.

Len also enjoys picnics in the park, eating out at restaurants, people-watching, and catching a movie. Special occasions are important to him, especially birthdays with cake and visits from his older sister.

Len’s life is all about enjoying his retirement in comfort and peace, with just the right amount of adventure and good company.
