Having a Say Conference has been supporting people to find their voice for 23 years.

The Having a Say conference is a national conference held each year in Geelong, Victoria and this year Life Without Barriers is proud to be a Silver Sponsor.

It is a conference for people with disability, their families, and support networks. The two-day event aims to give people with disabilities the opportunity to build their skills, knowledge, and connections through being involved in planning and running a conference.

It is a conference where people listen to each other, not just to the speakers on stage. It is an empowering experience where people respect each other’s views and opinions and celebrate their common causes and achievements.

Life Without Barriers will be there for both days as attendees, volunteers, and supporters and we also have a booth. You can find our stall in the main foyer which will be facilitated by people we support and staff members. Life Without Barriers will also be presenting a special award, the Family Empowerment Award, on Tuesday afternoon, so make sure you don't miss out on that!

Having a Say has been around for a long time and there is nothing else quite like it in Australia. People have fun, learn, and cheer other people on for having a go and for their achievements. We are thrilled to be supporting and attending this year's event.
