A wedding dream come true for Judy
Judy had always dreamed of being a bride. At 69 years old Judy’s dream came true with the support of her Life Without Barriers team.
Judy lives in our Supported Independent Living accommodation in Melbourne and her wedding had been a topic of conversation for many years.
With COVID restrictions in place, we decided there was no better time than the present to organise the wedding that Judy had always dreamed of

Residents and staff enjoyed planning the decor, outfits and menu. “It was something everyone got to look forward to and participate in,” added Cathy.

On the day, Judy was glowing as the bride and all the residents got into the spirit of the day. A wedding photographer was even hired to ensure the memories were captured of Judy’s special day.
