DETAILS  The campaign runs from 12.00pm Wednesday 18 June 2025 and ends at 11:59pm on Friday 18 July 2025 

ELIGIBILITY 

Celebrating Community - Recognising our vibrance and diversity for National Refugee Week is open to all current Life Without Barriers staff, clients, carers and volunteers. 

To be eligible for participation, submissions must be a photo, short video (up to 60 seconds) or a short-written piece (up to 150 words)  

Submissions must be from one of two age group categories: 17 years old and below and 18 years old and over. 

SUBMISSIONS 

There are three categories for each age group - photography, short-form video (up to 60 seconds) and poetry or written word (up to 150 words) 

Submissions must be lodged using the online form, which will be available only during the campaign period. 

The participant must be the creator of all elements in their submitted images. Any post-production and editing must be the work of the entrant. 

By submitting, you are stating that you have secured the necessary permissions for all content (including people)  

Submissions that are lewd, obscene, violent, sexually explicit, pornographic, defamatory, or libelous will not be included in the campaign. 

By participating in the campaign, people taking part consent to the submission of their work and agree to the terms & conditions.  

Where the participant is under the age of 18, the parent/guardian, acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions. 

COPYRIGHT 

The participant consents to Life Without Barriers to publish their submitted photo in promotional materials - credit may or may not be given.   

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS 

All submissions must include a link to the participant's original creation. This can be hosted on the platform of the entrant’s choice, as long as the link is viewable. Detailed instructions on how to upload content that is viewable can be found here. If an entrant is having trouble with uploading content, they can reach out to refugeeweek25@lwb.org.au  

IMAGE REQUIREMENTS 

There is no limit to image file size, as long as it can be hosted and viewable on your chosen cloud storage platform. 

Do not add watermarks or other branding to your images. The competition organiser reserves the right to disqualify watermarked or branded images. 

Do not add frames or borders to your images. The campaign organiser reserves the right to remove borders and frames for publication. 

DIGITAL MANIPULATION 

An image created wholly or in part with the assistance of artificial intelligence, 3D, or illustration processes may not be submitted. 

DRONE PHOTOGRAPHY 

Life Without Barriers supports the safe and legal operation of remotely piloted aircraft (RPA), including drones. All entries captured with an RPA must comply with local rules and regulations. Any images suspected of being captured illegally will be removed from the campaign. Participants must be able to provide verifiable EXIF data including drone type, position (latitude and longitude), and altitude information. Campaign organisers reserve the right to remove any image they suspect may have been captured illegally 

IMAGE CAPTURE CONSIDERATIONS 

All submissions must be taken safely and in a manner that complies with local laws and regulations. 

A participant may be removed from the campaign at any stage if it is found they have engaged in unethical practices in the capture and creation of their submission. 

The participant must be the creator of all elements in their submitted images. Any post-production and editing must be the work of the entrant. 

CLOSING DATE 

Closing date for submissions is 18 July 2025 and will only be accepted via the webform.
