When sexual activity triggers memories of trauma

Sometimes sexual activity in adolescence is a trigger for memories of past abuse. If you think the child in your care is struggling with traumatic memories, or if they disclose past abuse to you, you must tell your care team immediately.

Together you can make a plan to provide them with the support they need.

You can find information about how to respond if a child discloses abuse here
