Tattooing and body piercing

Talk to your care team if a child in your care wants to get a tattoo, body piercing, scarification, branding or beading. Agency consent is required in some situations, and in other situations it might be against the law. Where it is not against the law it is important you check whether agency consent is required before proceeding as you may not have the authority to give consent.

Each state and territory has different laws about tattooing and body piercing.
