You're Invited to Join Us at The Aboriginal Literacy Improvement Program - Toronto Library

The Aboriginal Literacy Improvement Program is a partnership between Life Without Barriers and Toronto Library. Join us and the Lake Macquarie City Council Toronto Library for the following events:

Wednesday: 12 July 10.30am - 12.30pm

Join in the fun, with the following activities

  • Watch the Biriban Dancers
  • Wombat Stew Puppet Show (This short puppet show is based on the much loved children's classic, Wombat Stew written by Marcia Vaughan and illustrated by Patricia Lofts).
  • Join our art class with Aunty Maree (Suitable age for children: 3 - 9)

1.30pm - 2.00pm Bush Tucker (Ashley Williams will share her knowledge of local bush

Thursday 13 July 10.30am - 12.30pm

Lets get creative:

  • Carers learn to create a love of reading • Possum Tracks Adventure Trail (A short, fun activity designed to nurture a love of tracking down information in the library.)
  • Stories from the Big Blue Chair • Creating stories and painting with Aunty Maree (Suitable for children aged 5-12)
