Life Without Barriers has organised an event called ‘The Big Chill Sleep Out’ which aims to raise awareness of homelessness. The event coincides with National Homelessness Week.

Imagine what it would be like to not have a warm, safe place to sleep at night…For many people this is a nightly reality. Hundreds of thousands of people are homeless and doing it tough this winter which is why we are doing everything we can to provide support for these people.

Life Without Barriers has organised an event called ‘The Big Chill Sleep Out’ which aims to raise awareness of homelessness. The event coincides with National Homelessness Week.

So rain, hail or shine we are putting up with the cold for the night, and you are invited to join us. The event is this Friday 9 August and starts at from 6.30pm at the Manjimup Farmers Market. A soup and roll will be provided for dinner. To register for the sleep-out, contact us via phone 9771 9402 or email wbeac@lwb.org.au.

If you cannot make the sleep-out, we also have food donation boxes in our offices and several community resource centres for this week and in Woolworths and Coles year round. We can go back home in the morning, have a hot shower and be with our families in a warm environment, but people who are homeless do not get to do the same, so any donation is appreciated.
