Carer learning and supervision

Carer learning

Children need carers who are open to learning. The need to keep learning would have been discussed during your carer assessment. Now you are an approved carer you are expected to regularly engage in learning activities. Talk to your care team for more information.

Funders and regulators in all states and territories require us to supervise carers and regularly check on children’s safety. All approved carers need to participate in supervision.

All our actions and interactions with you will explicitly focus on the supervision of child safety. Our approach is relationship based including, but not limited to, formal discussions about carer development, support, accountability and values/organisational fit.
