We establish partnerships with education providers in regional locations to improve links between the education and out of home care systems for our clients in their individual communities. Our Education Planning program also provides greater support to carers and employees regarding the education of children and young people in out of home care.
Education planning encompasses the provision of education specific support by staff with the relevant educational experience and qualifications through a process of assessment, planning, implementation and review to children and young people in care.
While education services may be structured in a number of ways, the core purpose of all education services is to re-engage and support children and young people to participate in mainstream education and training in order to reach their developmental potential by targeting their strengths and interests and connecting them to an intrinsic motivation to pursue a personal learning pathway.
