Our Executive

Our Executive works together with our Board of Directors to set the strategic direction of the organisation and establish business plans to meet those strategic goals. The team comprises:


Ray Dunn

Position: Chief Executive Officer
Qualifications: Bachelor of Social Work
Experience: Ray's 30 years experience and networks in the welfare and community services sectors has contributed significantly to the growth and success of Life Without Barriers over the past few years. Under his leadership ongoing expansion is projected for the future. Before joining the organisation in 2000 Ray worked in senior government positions in South Australia, Queensland and NSW.

Claire Robbs

Position: Director of Operations
Qualifications: Bachelor of Social Policy, Post Graduate Psychology
Experience: Claire has more than 15 years experience in welfare and community services, having worked prior to Life Without Barriers as Residential Support Worker, Case Worker, Behaviour Intervention Clinician and Children's Play Therapist. She also has previous management experience in early intervention, disability and children's services. Claire joined Life Without Barriers in 2004 undertaking a number of roles in training and corporate services before taking up the National Operations Manager position in 2006.

Dione O'Donnell

Position: Chief Financial Officer
Qualifications: Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Commerce
Experience: With more than 14 years experience in the community sector in various senior management roles including Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Operations, Call Centres, Strategy & Planning and Risk Management, Dione brings a wealth of strategic, innovative and customer focused knowledge to Life Without Barriers. Dione also has almost 20 years experience in Banking and Finance with a significant proportion of this as Chief Financial Officer. He also brings experience as Chairperson and Treasurer of a number of School Boards of Trustees and the Multiple Sclerosis Association in New Zealand, and as deputy chairperson of the New Zealand Federation of Voluntary and Social Sector Organisations. Dione joined Life Without Barriers late June 2007.

Sue Mathers

Position: Director of Corporate Services
Qualifications: Bachelor of Economics, Advanced Human Resources Executive Development Program
Experience: Sue has a background in Industrial Relations and Human Resources, mainly in the Financial Services and Pharmaceutical industries. Prior to joining Life Without Barriers she was Executive General Manager, People & Performance, for Suncorp Metway in Brisbane for six years and undertook other corporate services and line management roles in her career up to that point. Wherever she works, Sue is passionate about the people, their relationships with each other, with their clients and key stakeholders. Her focus is to support the people who are supporting the clients, to contribute to their development and fulfilment and to help create a vibrant environment in which both the individual and the organisation can thrive and be successful. Sue joined LWB because these values are the centrepiece to the LWB Way
